
City Contractors employs over 50 staff and are based in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Our experience in Auckland ranges from potholes and meter installations to multi-million dollar upgrading projects.
City Contractors key focus is in watermains & roading and our staff have been carefully selected and trained to ensure these projects are carried out to a very high standard. Our focus on training is exceptionally high with the following qualifications offered to all staff;

- Electrofusion and Butt Welding
- Site Safe
- First Aid
- Traffic Controller and STMS to all levels

City Contractors Health and Safety Systems are approved by WaterCare, Auckland Council , ACC and all the major construction companies operating in the greater Auckland area. City Contractors are accredited secondary level with the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practice.

Mark owns and operates City Contractors with his wife Kath who looks after special projects. Mark has over 30 years experience in Civil Construction and is responsible for strategic direction, business planning and estimating.

Kevin has over tweny years experience in the water reticulation industry and has a
broad skillset covering all facets of maintenance, construction and project management.
Kevin started with City Contractors in November 2015 and has quickly shown his
experience and skills in reticulation are invaluable.

Dylan started with City Contractors eleven years ago and has worked his way up through the company, gaining additional experience working overseas during this time. Dylan is responsible for project management on large watermain contracts.

Soham has recently graduated and has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). He worked for
City Contractors during his University holidays and has now come on board in the role of
Project Engineer.

Project Manager

Nathan joined City Contractors in October 2017 as a Project Manager and is currently looking after renewals projects. Nathan has worked previously for Lendlease and Fulton Hogan, initially as a water serviceman and then advancing through the ranks. He has an extensive background and experience particularly in connections, meters and planned shutdowns.

Gustav started with City Contractors in April 2017 and is responsible for assisting the
Project Managers in all areas of construction administration. Gustav's key area of expertise is dealing with the numerous Watercare applications for shutdowns, connections and related testing and certification.

Water Supervisor
Tony has been with City Contractors for over sixteen years and oversees the majority of our water and firemain projects. Tony is a key member of our staff and experienced in problem solving, staff management and more challenging projects.

Team Leader
Junior has over tweny years civil experience and City Contractors believe that he is one the most highly skilled digger operators in New Zealand. He has an in-depth knowledge of construction practices in the installation of water mains services and now supervisors many of our trenching and laying projects.

Karen is responsible for all company administration which includes accounts, both receivable and payable, claims and general daily office requirements. Karen also has the role of Health and Safety Manager and heads all our safety systems and procedures.

Laura joined us in July 2017 all the way from Scotland. She is responsible for all aspects
of accounts payable along with running reception and dealing with all the other small
jobs that are thrown her way.
